Russia not to claim early repayment by Ukraine of $3 Bln loan - Putin
MOSCOW. Nov 15 (Interfax) - Russia will not exercise its right to claim early repayment of a 2013 loan of $3 billion by Ukraine if the latter's total debt exceeds 60% of its gross domestic product because "we want Ukraine to be back on its feet at last," Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"If we do that, [Ukraine's] entire finance system will again go to pieces. We've made up our mind already: we won't do it. We don't want the situation to get any worse. We want Ukraine to be back on its feet at last," Putin told German television channel ARD.
