Putin meets with Merkel, Juncker
BRISBANE, Australia. Nov 15 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday had bilateral meetings with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on the sidelines of the current summit of the Group of 20 (G20), Putin's spokesman said.
The "quite lengthy and detailed conversations" followed the closure of the evening program of the summit, which is being held in Brisbane, Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"Bilateral issues were raised," Peskov said. "Russian-German relations were discussed with Merkel and Moscow-Brussels relations with Juncker."
"There were also exchanges of opinions on the situation in the southeast of Ukraine. President Putin made detailed explanations of nuances of the Russian position in this situation," the spokesman said.
