Slovakia pledges to continue reverse gas shipments to Ukraine
KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Slovakia has pledged to continue reverse gas shipments to Ukraine, the Ukrainian presidential spokesman, Svyatoslav Tseholko, said.
"Intensive talks have been held in Bratislava. Slovakia guaranteed that the agreement on reverse gas shipments will be implemented. Ukraine wants to form a gas hub to exclude the practice of using gas as an instrument of political pressure," he wrote on Facebook on Sunday after President Petro Poroshenko's talks with Slovak President Andrej Kiska.
The Slovak president assured Poroshenko that Slovakia would continue reserve gas shipments to Ukraine despite a reduction in gas deliveries from Russia, he said.
Poroshenko also met with the Polish and German presidents, Tseholko said.
