Moscow expels several Polish diplomats in retaliation for expulsion of its diplomats from Poland
MOSCOW. Nov 17 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has confirmed the expulsion of several Russian diplomats from Warsaw and retaliatory measures by Russia.
"Regrettably, the Polish authorities have actually made this unfriendly and totally unfounded move. Therefore, Russia has taken appropriate counter-measures and a number of Polish diplomats have left the territory of our country for activity incompatible with their status," the Russian Foreign Ministry's information and press department said in a commentary released on Monday.
The Polish media said that recently the national authorities had expelled a number of Russian diplomats, presumably for being involved in an activity incompatible with their status.
