Four militants killed near Chechen-Ingush border - Kadyrov
GROZNY. Nov 17 (Interfax) - Four militants have been killed in the Chechen Republic close to its administrative border with Ingushetia, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov told reporters on Monday.
"A hunter was killed by militants in Ingushetia a week ago. From that moment on, we have been conducting a search for members of illegal armed groups (IAGs). I personally supervised this operation. This morning, at the dawn, a group of bandits were found near the border with Ingushetia, during the skirmish they offered resistance and were eliminated," Kadyrov said.
The bodies of four militants were found and identified, and an inquiry is under way, he said. There are no losses among the personnel who conducted the operation.
"There will be not a single IAG member or person plotting evil in the Chechen Republic. We search for such people and will never let them break the peace and quiet of our citizens," Kadyrov said.
