BEIJING. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Rosneft and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) could not agree on a price for LLC Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha, an upstream unit of the Russian state oil major.
CNPC conducted an assessment of the project and the differences on the price are too great, CNPC's director of foreign relations, Zhang Xin told Interfax in an interview.
It is not yet clear if negotiations will be continued, but the project was not discussed this time, he said, reiterating that the differences over prices were too wide.
However, CNPC is interested in developing cooperation on upstream projects in Russia, he said.
