Donor conference for Ukraine could be held in early 2015 - Steinmeier

KYIV. Nov 18 (Interfax) - The European Commission could hold an international conference on economic aid for Ukraine in early 2015, said German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

"The European Commission could organize a special conference on the introduction of economic stability in Ukraine early next year," Steinmeier told reporters on Tuesday after talks with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv. He said this issue had also been discussed at an EU ministerial meeting on November 17.

The EU foreign ministers discussed the situation in Ukraine, including economic aid, in Brussels on Monday, the German foreign minister said. "Of course, we must also think about other issues, including economic stabilization in Ukraine," he said, noting that the EU is interested in Ukraine's economic recovery.
