Moscow calls for inquiry into breach of humanitarian law in east Ukraine

MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Russian insists on an inquiry into the use of ammunition banned by international rules and violation of the international humanitarian law in southeastern Ukraine.

"Again we resolutely urge the international community, including the authoritative human-rights entities and organizations, to seek an inquiry into the use of incendiary weapons, cluster and phosphorous ammunition in the densely-populated areas of the South-East Ukraine, and other gross violations of the international humanitarian law," the Russian Foreign Ministry's Department of Information and Press said on its website on Tuesday.
