Lavrov: Russian delegation in Vienna guided by common sense, seeks compromise on Iranian nuke problem

MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has called for reaching a balance of interests at the Vienna negotiations between the P5+1 and Iran without any bargaining.

"Every component part of the agreement lies on the negotiating table. There may be a temptation to try bargain for something extra, to get a bit more than necessary, at this late stage of the negotiations," Lavrov said at a press conference on Friday, after his negotiations with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faysal bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud.

"But I believe that common sense and the wish to reach a compromise on this protracted problem will finally prevail. The Russian delegation is being guided by this approach," Lavrov said.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and French and British representatives have gone to Vienna where the P5+1 political directors are negotiating with the Iranian foreign minister, he said.
