Russia's foreign state debt edges down to $53.705 bln in Oct - MinFin

MOSCOW. Nov 26 (Interfax) - Russia's foreign state debt decreased by $42 million, or 0.07%, to $53.705 billion in October 2014, the Finance Ministry said in its materials on the structure of the debt.

Foreign debt in euro increased by 227 million euro to 42.653 billion euro in the period.

Debt to international financial institutions decreased by $1.8 million to $1.234 billion, while debt to official creditors who are not Paris Club members was unchanged at $921.5 million.

External loan bonds accounted for the bulk of foreign state debt, $39.309 billion as of November 1. This was $6.9 million lower than the previous month.

In January-October 2014, Russia's external debt decreased by 3.7% or $2.089 billion, from $55.794 billion on January 1.
