Western leaders have decreased in scale - Russian deputy foreign minister

ANOSINO (Moscow region). Dec 1 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Vasily Nebenzya has questioned the scale of the current leaders of the Western countries.

"Where are figures of de Gaulle's, Kennedy's, Reagan's, Kohl's, or at least Kissenger's caliber? Counties are not run by political leaders, but by some colorless managers who have been hired for 4-5 years. Most of them are incapable of thinking globally and their political weight is evaluated by their ability to be liked and state their ideas, pretending they have them when they actually have none, not by their deeds, in which they are not independent enough," Nebenzya said at a meeting with deputy governors on issues relating to domestic policy and social issues held in the Sberbank Corporate University in the Moscow region.

Nebenzya said the scale of political leaders now appears to have decreased. "It is not without reason that our president is at the top of the world ratings. Who in the world can measure up to him? I don't see anyone," Nebenzya said.
