Aftereffects should be calculated by those who ruined South Stream - Moscow

MOSCOW. Dec 2 (Interfax) - The aftereffects of the shutdown of the South Stream gas pipeline project should be calculated by those who have ruined it, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich.

"If anything, the consequences should be calculated by those who have, in fact, ruined this project. They should give this a thorough thinking [through]," Lukashevich said at a press briefing in Moscow when asked how Moscow's decision could impact relations with European partners.

He cited President Vladimir Putin as saying that Moscow will find alternative ways of implementing its plans to deliver gas to other regions.
