Russia, Sudan to intensify military-technological cooperation - Lavrov

KHARTOUM. Dec 3 (Interfax) - Russia and Sudan plan to intensify military-technological cooperation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"There are concrete plans to intensify military-technological cooperation, which will develop without causing any damage to the sub-region and will fully meet international norms and Russia's and Sudan's obligations," Lavrov said at a press conference following negotiations with Sudanese Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali Ahmed Karti in Khartoum.

The ministers said the second meeting of a bilateral trade-economic intergovernmental commission will take place in Moscow next week, during which the parties will also discuss interaction in the oil, gas and mineral resources sectors.
