Chechen security services will properly cope with task of neutralizing militants in Grozny - Putin

MOSCOW. Dec 4 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he is convinced that Chechnya's law enforcement agencies will cope with the task of neutralizing all militants involved in the latest events in Grozny properly.

"I am confident that the guys there, local law enforcement agencies will cope with this task properly. They are working today to neutralize the latest terrorist sortie," Putin said in his annual address to the Federal Assembly on Thursday.

"We will support them," the president said, promptly receiving a round of applause.
