Russian investigators launch criminal probe into Grozny attack on policemen
MOSCOW. Dec 4 (Interfax) - A criminal inquiry has been launched into an attack on police officers in Grozny.
"The Russian Investigative Committee (RIC) main investigative directorate for the North Caucasus Federal District has launched a criminal inquiry into the attack on police officers in the city of Grozny under Articles 317, 208, 222 of the Russian Criminal Code (attempt of the life of a law enforcement officer, setting up or membership in an illegal armed group, and illicit trafficking in firearms)," RIC spokesman Vladimir Markin told Interfax on Thursday.
The case will be created by an emergency team of more than 50 experienced investigators and criminal experts, he said.
