Federal Grid Co hoping for approval to receive NWF funds in 2015

MOSCOW. Dec 5 (Interfax) - Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System (FGC UES) is hoping to receive a final decision in 2015 on whether the company will receive money from the National Welfare Fund (NWF) for the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) and Trans-Siberian Railway, FGC chairman Andrei Murov told journalists.

He said the most probable way of receiving the funds was through bonds.

Murov added that it was planned to receive the actual money for the two projects in 2016.

"Rosimushchestvo and the Economic Development Ministry are insisting on bonds," he said, adding that the securities might be purchased by Vnesheconombank (VEB) or another bank.

It was previously reported that two options were being considered for FGC to receive NWF funds - through preferred shares or through bonds.
