Sberbank CIB chief Oleg Ganeev joins management board at parent
MOSCOW. Dec 8 (Interfax) - Sberbank CIB chief Oleg Ganeev has joined the management board at the parent bank, Sberbank of Russia , effective November 29, the bank said in materials.
Sberbank President and CEO German Gref nominated Ganeev for the top job at Sberbank CIB on November 14. He was expected to join the Sberbank management board as soon as the appointment was cleared with the Central Bank.
Ganeev will work together with Sberbank Senior Vice President Alexander Bazarov, who has led the investment bank since the departure of the previous head, Gref said previously.
Ganeev will have overall responsibility for Sberbank CIB operations and will also be in charge of the efficiency of business process, establishment of Sberbank CIB standards, introduction of product sales systems, management of performance, and state and municipal projects and programs.
Bazarov will be responsible for setting the investment bank's strategy in the areas of client relations, sectoral solutions, deal structuring, support and monitoring.
