Ushakov: We are doing utmost to convene Contact Group meeting by end of this week

MOSCOW. Dec 8 (Interfax) - Russia is interested in the soonest possible convocation of the Contact Group for Ukraine in Minsk, the Kremlin said.

"We have confirmed our readiness to hold a Contact Group meeting within days. We will do everything [in our power] to hold the Contact Group meeting this week," Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters.

"I think this will be done," the Kremlin representative said.

He reminded reporters that Ambassador in Kyiv Mikhail Zurabov represented Russia in the Contact Group.
