Artillery duels on at Donetsk airport, Ukrainian forces shelling residential areas - militia

MOSCOW. Dec 8 (Interfax) - The militia in southeastern Ukraine said Ukrainian forces had shelled the Donetsk airport and the adjacent area.

"Artillery duels continue at the airport. Ukrainian forces are shelling the area near the airport. The limits of the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk have been massively shelled," says a report, posted on the website of the Novorossiya news agency on Monday.

A clash is continuing in the town of Yasynuvata, where "explosions and gunfire can be heard."

A group of Ukrainian servicemen is fighting near Dzerzhinsk to reach the territory of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic. Fighters of the Ukrainian National Guard are delivering motor fire, the posting says.
