Rosneft submits eight more projects for NWF funding, more to come
MOSCOW. Dec 11 (Interfax) - Rosneft has submitted another eight projects for potential funding by the National Welfare Fund (NWF) and the Energy Ministry is expecting more, Deputy Energy Minister Kirill Molodtsov told reporters.
He said that Rosneft previously submitted 12 projects, of which the Energy Ministry had processed four. This week, another eight new projects were submitted, mostly connected with oil refining.
Molodtsov added that the ministry was expecting new requests from Rosneft, but for specific projects.
The company had previously submitted a request for financing to pay for its investment program as a whole, but the Economic Development Ministry was against this.
Rosneft President Igor Sechin previously said that the company was ready to receive between 1.5 trillion and 2 trillion rubles from the NWF, but would not be entirely upset by a negative decision on its requests.
