Kazakhstan's trade surplus widens 14% in 10M

ALMATY. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's trade surplus widened 13.9% year-on-year in January-October to $33.7 billion, the State Statistics Committee said.

Foreign trade turnover fell 8.3% year-on-year to $101.7 billion, including exports - $67.7 billion, down 4.9%, and imports - $34 billion, down 14.5%.

Exports to Customs Union countries amounted to $4.423 billion, down 12.1%, and imports to $11.888 billion, down 21.7%.

The main importers of goods from Kazakhstan were Italy (20.4% of all exports), China (12.7%) and the Netherlands (11.2%). The main exporters to Kazakhstan were Russia (33.4%), China (18%) and Germany (5.5%).
