Russia lifts meat import ban for 2 more Belarusian companies
MINSK. Dec 16 (Interfax) - Russian agriculture watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor has lifted an import ban for two Belarusian companies, the watchdog said in a press release.
"Based on the preliminary results of audits being carried out by Rosselkhoznadzor specialists on Belarusian companies producing animal origin products to assess compliance with Customs Union veterinary and sanitary requirements, Rosselkhoznadzor considers it possible to allow imports to Russian from the Belarusian companies from December 15 2014," the release said.
The import ban was lifted for Berezovsky Meat Canning Plant and Belovezhskie Delikatesy.
Earlier, on December 11, Russia lifted meat import bans on the Belarusian companies - Zhlobinsky Meat Plant, Gomel Meat Plant and Vitebsk Broiler Plant.
Rosselkhoznadzor said earlier it would complete its audit of Belarusian companies by December 16.
