Deputy PM Trutnev considers ruble's collapse a stimulus for Russia's speedy development
GORKI. Dec 16 (Interfax) - It is necessary to see the pluses in the collapsing ruble, Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Envoy for the Far East Federal District Yury Trutnev told journalists on Tuesday.
Commenting on the devaluation of the ruble, which even the Central Bank's extreme measures could not stop, he said: "My feeling is that we are not reading the changing situation on financial markets correctly. Because the situation on financial markets is only stimulating Russia's accelerated development."
"We are trying to do this in the Far East. It seems to me that it's necessary not to groan about oil prices and other economic difficulties, but simply work faster and more effectively," Trutnev said.
