Russian diplomat denies sending fuel, materials to Donbas militias

MOSCOW. Dec 17 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko's statement alleging that Russia is delivering fuel for tanks and supplies for checkpoints to Donbas militias under the guise of humanitarian aid is unfounded, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said.

"This statement has no factual confirmation," Karasin told Interfax in commenting on Poroshenko's remark.

"The cargo delivered by humanitarian convoys from Russia undergoes inspections at border checkpoints, in which Ukrainian border guards take part. Therefore, all these general speculations have no factual basis," Karasin said.
