Mogherini claims Russia failing to comply with Minsk agreements
KYIV. Dec 17 (Interfax) - European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini on Wednesday claimed that Russia is not complying with the Minsk agreements but said the conflict in eastern Ukraine had claimed no further lives in the previous few days.
Speaking at a briefing in Kyiv, Mogherini called on Moscow to fulfill its commitments under the Minsk deal.
She said she had discussed the matter with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
She claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had not been cooperative enough for the last few months.
She expressed hope that there would be evidence within days, and possibly hours, of willingness to comply with the agreements.
