EU Council decides on trade, investment sanctions against Crimea
BRUSSELS. Dec 18 (Interfax) - The Council of the European Union on Thursday as a result of a written procedure approved proposals on restrictions on trade and investment against Crimea, a European diplomat said in Brussels.
An official communique will be issued in the very near future, the diplomat said.
A diplomatic source in the EU institutions previously told Interfax that a legislative act on these measures would be published in the Official Journal of the European Union on Friday and the sanctions would take effect on Saturday.
