Kondor-E satellite launched from Baikonur reaches orbit

MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia's converted Strela launch vehicle, which blasted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on Thursday, has successfully lifted a foreign customer's Kondor-E radar imaging satellite into orbit, a spokesman for the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) told Interfax-AVN.

"At 8:09 a.m. Moscow time, the satellite successfully separated from the upper stage," he said.
