Remote sensing data from civilian satellites no longer state secret in Russia
MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax) - The Russian government has decreed that any Earth remote sensing data obtained from foreign and Russian satellites no longer constitute a state secret and can be used publicly.
"To decree that Earth remote sensing data obtained from the outer space from foreign and Russian civilian satellites are no longer classified as a state secret and can be used publicly in accordance with the Russian law," according to a governmental decree posted on the official legal news portal.
