FAS hopes Gazprom soon eliminates violations concerning not admitting buyers to exchange

MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax) - The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) is hoping that Gazprom will eliminate violations uncovered by the regulator connected with the non-admission of a number of buyers to the gas exchange by the end of the year, FAS deputy head Anatoly Golomolzin told journalists.

He said Gazprom was recently given a warning about the inconsistency of some volumes of gas to certain buyers.

Golomolzin said that the timeline for eliminating these violations is "short enough".

He said that the uncovered violations will not have a significant effect on the third exchange trading session with gas, which will take place on December 22: "This will have almost no effect on trading that will take place in December. Because this has to do with small difficulties. We noticed two cases. In the total share of volumes this is of an insignificant size. But we think that this should not happen."

He said that the main task of FAS is to create a stably working mechanism of exchange trading with gas, therefore the regulator is paying attention "also to all minor details."
