Naryshkin: Russia, Serbia ready to do utmost for secure and calm Europe
MOSCOW. Dec 22 (Interfax) - Russia and Serbia maintain strategic cooperation in a number of areas, State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin said.
"We place a high value on the level of collaboration between Russia and Serbia. We believe that this cooperation has reached a strategic level in a number of indicators and areas," Naryshkin said at his meeting with Serbian National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic in Moscow on Monday.
Parliament exchanges have become regular, Naryshkin pointed out. "This is crucial amid the approaching crisis of confidence in Europe," Naryshkin said.
Russia and Serbia have always supported the observation of international legal norms, he said.
The two countries are prepared to do the utmost for a safe and calm Europe, Naryshkin said.
Gojkovic added that the Serbian and Russian parliaments had a vast cooperation potential.
