Belarus closes OTC currency market for two years
MINSK. Dec 22 (Interfax) - Any dealing on the OTC currency market in Belarus will have to be conducted with the National Bank of Belarus (NBB) between now and January 1, 2017, according to an NBB resolution, seen by Interfax.
"The purchase and sale of foreign currency will not be carried out on the OTC market except for deals with the NBB," the document reads.
But deals for any amount can still be carried out on the currency exchange itself.
