Government offers pharmaceuticals long-term contracts at fixed prices
GORKI. Dec 22 (Interfax) - The Russian government is in talks with pharmaceutical companies to conclude long-term supply contracts at fixed prices, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets said.
"We are currently in talks, primarily with domestic producers, to exchange fixed prices for long-term contracts. We will shift to concluding three year contracts with those producers that fix prices for their medicines and limit their margins in that period," Golodets during Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's meeting with his deputies on Monday.
She also said "the possibility is being discussed of providing additional financing from the Anticrisis Fund of a specific amount that has been calculated," she said.
"We currently feel sufficiently confident to support Russians by easing the effects of the situation on the market in medicines," Golodets said.
