Rosenergoatom ups 2014 power forecast 0.8% to 179.5 bln kWh
MOSCOW. Dec 23 (Interfax) - Rosenergoatom has raised forecast power generation by its nuclear plants 0.8% to 179.5 billion kilowatt-hours from the 178 billion kWh it was forecasting in August.
The concern, which originally forecast 177 billion kWh for the year, said its plants had already generated 175 billion kWh by December 22.
Nuclear plants reduced output 3% last year to 172.2 billion kWh due to problems at RBMK reactors.
Rosenergoatom operates all 10 Russian nuclear plants with 33 generating units, which produce around 17% of Russia's electricity.
