Defiant Lukashenko not ruling out another stint as Belarusian president
MOSCOW. Dec 23 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said he will not yield to any pressure and can win the next presidential election "if he wants to."
Speaking at a press conference after a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on Tuesday, Lukashenko attacked Russian political analysts and journalists, who, he says, claim that "for Lukashenko 2015 is a special year - the president elections, hence the chance and opportunity to 'unbuild' him."
"Calm down, gentlemen, Lukashenko is not someone who could be 'unbuilt.' He has already had enough of presidential bread. Even in the worst of situations I will not suffer. But only the Belarusian people can 'unbuild' me," he said.
"Even if the whole world today stands up against Lukashenko, he will still become a president if he wants to," the Belarusian leader said
