Far East fishery cluster project to be delivered by 2022 - governor
VLADIVOSTOK. Dec 24 (Interfax) - The project to set a Far East fishery cluster up in the Primorye territory will be carried out in a private-public partnership by 2022, the territory's governor, Vladimir Miklushevsky, told Interfax.
"Around a year ago, a government commission decided to set a Far East fishery cluster up in Primorye. The cluster's concept is ready and was submitted to Deputy Russian Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich at the Japanese-Russian business council in Vladivostok and is based on a private-public partnership," he said.
The state will fund the quay as this will remain federally owned. A joint-stock company will then be set up with a 10% contribution by the regional budget, and private investors will provide the rest, partly in loans.
"The cluster will be established in two stages, and the deadline for delivery is 2022," Miklushevsky said.
Output by the cluster will run to 220-550 tonnes a day and the project will create some 1,300 jobs.
