Medvedev promises rapid elaboration of anti-crisis measures
MOSCOW. Dec 25 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has promised rapid elaboration of anti-crisis measures on the president's orders and said that the strict fulfillment of social commitments is a primary responsibility of the government.
"Vladimir Vladimirovich has just pointed to need to work during holidays and after holidays because the economic situation is rather complicated. Nevertheless, no one has cancelled the social commitments deriving from the 2012 decrees of the president and other social commitments based on normative documents," Medvedev said at a meeting of President Vladimir Putin with government members.
"Their [social commitments'] strict fulfillment since the very first days of 2015 is a primary responsibility of the government along with the provision of operations of every major enterprise," he underlined.
"Naturally, anti-crisis measures will be prepared on the president's orders and at my instructions; some of them are already being implemented and some will be launched shortly," the premier said.
