Navalny brothers' verdict "not a topic worthy of separate report to president" - press secretary

MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - Russian president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said that he will not provide Vladimir Putin with a separate report concerning the latest verdict handed down to opposition activist Alexei Navalny and his brother Oleg because the head of state can learn about these events from media reports.

"It is not a topic worthy of a separate report to the president," Peskov told the Kommersant FM radio station.

When asked whether or not the Russian president was aware of the Navalny brothers' latest verdict, Peskov said: "Media are reporting about it. He [Putin] follows media reports. News digests are being prepared."

The Kremlin will not comment on this matter, he said.
