Next POW swap between Kyiv and militia possible after New Year - LPR
MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - The leadership of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) believes that the next exchange of POWs with Kyiv may take place after the New Year holidays.
"Most likely, we will be able to speak about the next [POW] swap only after the New Year holidays. Its final date will depend on when we and Kyiv manage to finalize and agree our POW lists," Vladislav Deinego, LPR chief negotiator to the trilateral Contact Group's meetings in Minsk, told Interfax.
The lists earlier provided by Kyiv included only militia supporters whose cases were handled by the Ukrainian Security Service, he said.
"The cases of another 120 people are being handled by Ukrainian courts and 19 more are being held under house arrest. These people have not been handed over to us," Deinego said.
