Companies to be required to store RF citizens' info in data centers in Russia from Sept 1, 2015

MOSCOW. Dec 31 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law extending the date from which companies will be required to store Russian citizens' personal data processed in the Internet on the territory of Russia, a report posted on the official legal information portal says.

The previous legislation required companies to store Russian citizens' personal data in data centers in Russia beginning on January 1, 2015.

Parliamentarians have decided to extend the date until September 1, 2015.
