Defense Ministry focused on increasing combat capabilities of its groups in Crimea, Kaliningrad region, Arctic - Gerasimov

MOSCOW. Jan 13 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry in 2015 will focus on its groups in Crimea, the Kaliningrad region and the Arctic, Valery Gerasimov, the head of the General Staff and first deputy defense minister of Russia, said.

"In 2015, the Defense Ministry will focus its efforts on increasing the combat capabilities of its units and increasing combat strength in accordance with the military development plans. Special attention will be given to the groups in Crimea, the Kaliningrad region and the Arctic," Gerasimov said.
