Ex-general director of Rosneft-Stavropol killed in Stavropol - Investigative Committee
MOSCOW. Jan 15 (Interfax) - A former general director of the oil company Rosneft-Stavropol, Alexander Chernukhin, was found dead in the city of Stavropol, southern Russia, the region's senior investigator Artyom Telyatnikov told Interfax on Wednesday evening.
"Chernukhin's dead body was found near House No. 28, Nevelsky Proyezd in Stavropol today," Telyatnikov said.
Police are working at the site.
"Chernukhin's dead body was found near his mother's house. It was lying near the man's black-colored Toyota Land Cruiser personal car. He is believed to have been shot four times in the back and the chest," the investigator said.
"The corpse was spotted by neighbors, who called the police. The scene of the incident is currently being examined," he said.
A criminal inquiry has already been launched on counts of murder (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Russian Penal Code) and the illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, possession and transportation of weapons, their main components, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices (Part 1 of Article 222), Telyatnikov said.
