Gasoline prices grow 0.3% in Russia between Dec 30 and Jan 12 - Rosstat

MOSCOW. Jan 15 (Interfax) - Consumer prices for gasoline in Russia were grew 0.3% in Russia between December 30 and January 12, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said on Thursday.

This followed the drop that occurred over the preceding three weeks, when prices fell 0.4% on December 23-29, 0.5% on December 16-22 and 0.4% on December 9-15.

Consumer gasoline prices also fell in January 2014.

Prices for diesel fuel also grew 0.3% after remaining flat for the three previous weeks.

Gasoline prices increased in 44 Russian regional seats in the time period, including by 1.5% in Cherkessk. Prices fell in 15 Russian subjects, including 2.2% in Abakan.

Retail gasoline prices were up 0.1% on average in Moscow and 0.6% in St. Petersburg.

A liter of Ai-92/93 gasoline in Moscow cost between 31.6 and 33.5 rubles; the price range for Ai-95 and above was 34.6 to 37.3 rubles. In St. Petersburg, a liter of Ai-92/93 gasoline cost between 31.7 rubles and 33.19 rubles and Ai-95 and higher was 34.9 rubles to 36.69 rubles.

The average price for a liter of gasoline nationwide was 33.31 rubles on January 12 (33.24 rubles on December 29) including A-76 (Ai-80) - 30.16 rubles (30.29 rubles), Ai-92/93 - 32.34 rubles (32.26 rubles) and Ai-95 and above - 35.12 rubles (35.04 rubles). Diesel fuel cost 34.43 rubles per liter as of January 12 compared with 34.37 rubles on December 29.

Gasoline production was up 2.7% at 838,300 tonnes between January 5 and January 11. Diesel production grew 1.8% to 1.523 million tonnes.
