Ukrainian army claims to retain control over new terminal at Donetsk airport

KYIV. Jan 15 (Interfax) - The new terminal building at Donetsk airport remains under control of the Ukrainian military, the press center for the military operation in east Ukraine said on Thursday evening.

"The forces defending the Donetsk airport are still holding their position. At 4 p.m. an officer at the new terminal told our press center by phone that fighting continues, the terminal is under our control," the press center said on Facebook.

Earlier Donetsk militias claimed that they had virtually seized control over the airport.
