DPR leader Zakharchenko not coming to Minsk
DONETSK. Jan 16 (Interfax) - The head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Alexander Zakharchenko, told reporters on Friday that he has no plans to travel to Minsk, the capital of Belarus, which is the venue for meetings of the trilateral Contact Group for Ukraine.
"Until Ukraine appoints Kyiv's official representative, I see no point in going there personally. My subordinates can do it," Zakharchenko said.
The DPR leader said he was unaware of any invitation to the Contact Group's meeting in Minsk.
"No one has told me anything about it," he said.
