Andrey Patoka named Vimpelcom's head of CIS

MOSCOW. Jan 19 (Interfax) - The former vice president of infrastructure development at Russian OJSC Vimpelcom , Andrey Patoka, has been named the head of Vimpelcom Ltd's CIS business unit, the holding said in a statement.

Operations in this region were previously overseen by vice president Mikhail Gerchuk, who will continue to work at Vimpelcom as the director for commercial affairs and strategy.

Patoka has worked at the Vimpelcom group since 2008. His previous position was as Vimpelcom's vice president for infrastructure development, and he was also in charge of the operator's B2B segment.
