Words at odds with deeds in Kyiv - senior Russian diplomat
MOSCOW. Jan 19 (Interfax) - The situation in southeastern Ukraine indicates that Kyiv's official rhetoric does not meet its actions, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin.
"The developments observed yesterday and last night indicate that words are at odds with deeds in Kyiv," Karasin told Interfax in comments on Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko's statement that Kyiv was prepared to convene a meeting of the tripartite contact group immediately.
"By all accounts, the 'party of war', the current policy-maker in Ukraine, is demonstrating again that the stake has been placed once more on shelling attacks, storms, economic seizure and further destruction of towns and villages, contrary to hypocritically peaceful statements," the Russian diplomat said.
