BaselCement boosts production of cement, clinker by 37%
YAROSLAVL. Jan 20 (Interfax) - BaselCement Holding produced 2 million tonnes of cement and clinker in 2014, which is 37% more than in 2013, the holding said in a statement.
BaselCement's press service told Interfax that last year at the Serebryansky Cement Plant, production volume reacted 1.02 million tonnes, which is 95% more than in 2013. The shipment of cement and clinker from Achinsk Cement increased by 5% and exceeded 960,000 tonnes.
The Uglovsk Lime Plant prepared more than 18,000 tonnes of mineral dust (up 3%) and more than 64,000 tonnes of limestone dust (up 5%). At the same time the production of lime was unchanged at 150,000 tonnes.
In addition, Glavstroy Ust-Labinsk, which joined the holding in April 2014, produced 320,000 cubic meters of aerated concrete in the three quarters.
BaselCement is one of the largest Russian producers of construction materials. The production capacities of the holding's enterprises allow for the annual production of 3.2 million tonnes of cement, 420,000 cubic meters of aerated concrete blocks, 270,000 tonnes of lime, more than 300,000 tonnes of mineral dust and more than 600,000 cubic meters of stone chippings and other materials.
Among the key enterprises are Achinsk Cement, Serebryansk Cement Plant, and also Uglovsk Lime Plant (Novgorod region) and Glavstroy Ust-Labinsk (Krasnodar territory).
