Self-proclaimed Donetsk republic head to issue 'no prisoners' order
MOSCOW. Jan 23 (Interfax) - After numerous fatalities were caused by the shelling of a public transport stop in Donetsk, the self-proclaimed Donetsk people's republic (DPR) will take no more prisoners in clashes with Ukrainian government forces, DPR head Olelsandr Zakharchenko said.
"After this tragedy, I will issue an order that no more prisoners be taken. We don't need swaps," the Donetsk news agency quoted Zakharchenko's address to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
