Peskov: Threats, blackmail unable to influence Russian stance on events in Ukraine
ST. PETERSBURG. Jan 26 (Interfax) - Threats and economic pressure will not change the Russian stance on the events evolving in Ukraine, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"Russia has never concurred with such threats; moreover, such threats and blackmail have never led and will not lead to an alternation of Russia's consistent and well-known position under this kind of pressure," Peskov said, answering a question of Interfax.
The press secretary commented on the appeals for tightening anti-Russian sanctions over escalating tensions in Ukraine.
