Deputy head of Russian Central Bank's Amur branch kills three employees and commits suicide
BLAGOVESHCHENSK. Jan 27 (Interfax) - The deputy head of the Russian Central Bank's branch for the Amur region shot dead three employees and then killed himself, Alexei Lubinsky, spokesman for the Russian Investigative Committee's regional department, told Interfax.
"Two women and one man were among those killed by the deputy head of the Central Bank's regional branch. One of the killed women also held the post of deputy head of the bank's branch, the second woman was a bank branch manager, and the man headed one of the bank's departments," he said.
Both women were shot dead in the office belonging to one of them, and the man was killed on the ground floor of the bank building. All of them died on the spot.
Work-related problems of the man suspected of the murders have been blamed for the incident.
All security services of the region are currently working at the site.
In an interview with Interfax, a Russian Central Bank spokesman confirmed the incident at the bank's branch in Blagoveshchensk.
"Law enforcement agencies are working at the scene," the spokesman said, declining to comment further.
